Ceyhun Mirzayev

Jeyhun Mirzayev was born on 9 April 1946 in the village of Abdal-Gulabli in the Aghdam district. He graduated from the directing faculty of the Azerbaijan State Institute of Arts and also studied in Moscow. Nearly 35 of his 46 years of life were connected with cinema, as he was only 11 years old when he created the character of Shikhali's son in the film The Meeting. At the age of twelve he was invited to appear in Stepmother. Jeyhun Mirzayev worked in various professions at the film studio, at different times serving as assistant, assistant director, director and actor. He filmed storylines for the satirical newsreel Mozalan and served as its artistic director. Jeyhun Mirzayev also had a gift for impersonation — he could instantly imitate the voice and manner of speech of anyone he had just spoken with. Even the buzzing sound heard in Mozalan's title sequence was made by him. Jeyhun Mirzayev's last film was Cry, but he passed away before he could attend its premiere.
